The Chapters Begin.

As we begin reading The Scarlet letter, we get a mouth full of a different era. Howthorne starts off the chapter with the description of one of the first buliding Built when the town was discovered. The prison. He discribes it as a gloom, rusty, old Building. As  got further into the book, i began to realize hwo hard these puritain were on each other. Everything they did was based on religion. Basically you did anything to disturb the peace, youll be look down upon. the worst part is that no one will feel sorry for you. They dont care, becuase in their eyes you commited a sin, and you should be punished.  And what about those women who spoke so harsly of Hester. Saying she was a whore and that her punishment you have been more severe. Who are they to decide that? Lets just say that the puritain life was anything but "open minded."

The Scarlet letter

As i got further into my high school years, i kept hearing of the horrors of reading the Scarlet Letter. I seriously didnt want to read it then. Then Easy A came out, and everything change for the best. If the Scarlet Letter is anything like Esay A, i probably would end up liking it. I mean who wouldnt like a scandelous story on a girl who supposly commited "adultary". snt that what interest on these days though? So whats up with all this bad talking of the Scarlet letter? I dont know about you, but i for once im looking forward to reading this scadelous book.
